4) I am a receptionist for a large company.
5) I love history.
6) I devour books like they were desert.
7) I am about to start school to become a massage therapist. I am the happy atheist.
9) I love getting pierced and tattooed. (only one tattoo right now, but I have one piercing in my tounge, and 8 in my ears.)
10) I am typically a loner. (mainly because I am such a freak most people don't get me, and two I really don't like people very much. This is why message boards are so good for me. If I get fed up, I can disappear.....*Poof! A cloud of smoke chokes the room and I make my escape.....*
Re: Hi!
Just wait until I open my mind up to you, you will scream and run the other way screaming "she's a freak!!!! FREAK!!!!!!"
Most people tell me I look normal...well, unless they see me outside of work, and seem like a normal Christian girl....and then they get to know me. The only thing about me that is unchristian like is the fact I don't believe.
Actually, no, you don't HAVE to go to school for massage therapy, but if you want to practice you do. I learned what I know now from a chiropractic office I used to work in. I never realized the powerful effects that massage can have. It really gives the ability to take away pain. At least as a massage therapist I will be expected to be a little different! My goal is to have my own business, my own clientel. I figure after a while I will end up with more money and less hours. Around here they make between $60-100 an hour. Sounds good to me! My 2 year old is even addicted to massages. Almost every day she brings me her lotion and says, " mommy, you give me sage?"
Re: 10 things
Is that type of schooling expensive?
That's cute about your daughter.

In 1994-1995 I worked as the Assistant Administrator of an accredited school for massage therapy. At that time, it cost a little over $5,000.00 for the coursework. For me, the on the job perk was that the students in their last semester needed a body to practice on - I'd put the telephone on automatic, get naked and jump onto the massage table
