Aiden, Gwen, and a Misplaced Wand
It was early. Light, but still early. The heaviness of Gwen's feet attested to that fact - as usual, she'd woken up early, but as she'd gone to bed rather late last night it wasn't the wisest course of action.
She'd found Aiden in the Common Room, staring reflectively at his log, and dragged him off to breakfast. It was where they were going now, in silence except for Gwen's suppressed yawns.
"OUCH!" Gwen stumbled, clutching her right foot. Aiden turned around with a puzzled expression.
"What happened?"
"I'm not sure. Something burned my toe." She sat down on the thinly carpeted stone floor and wiggled her toe experimentally. Nope, still painful.
"Did someone place a jinx in the carpet?" she asked. "Can you do that?"

"Probably - leave it to someone like Potter or Black to figure out how. Wait - " Aiden took a few steps forward and picked up what was immistakably a wand. "Think you kicked it or something?"

Aiden looked at it carefully, turning it over in his hands, "No...I'm sure I've seen it before though, but I can't think where. What do you s'pose we should do with it? Give it to a prefect or someone?"

Aiden grimaced, "Preferably not...but why not just the first one we run into? Whoever's wand it is will need it back as soon as possible. Or maybe a teacher. Just whichever we find soonest."

OOC: Could Narsissa Hurry? We need to get this little...interlude......Rollin' , cause Rose doesn't get invovlved for a little while............and when she finally does, I think it will be alot of fun! Sorry for butting in......ignore me...

Narcissa spotted Aiden and Gwen pondering over a wand. Raising an eyebrow, she paraded over to them and demaned, "Who does that belong to?"

"Well speak of the devil, Gwen, here's a prefect now...We actually dunno who's it is, Black," he pushed it into Narcissa's hands, "but since you're a prefect, you find out." Aiden nudged Gwen, "C'mon, I'm hungry." They walked off, leaving Narcissa's feathers a little ruffled.
After a few minutes of silence, Aiden said thoughtfully, "Gwen...d'ya think she'll do something mean with it?"
Gwen looked surprised at the question. "Well...I don't think so...she's not a very nice person, but then she's a prefect. I don't think she'd risk getting caught. Meddling with someones wand is probably a serious infraction."
"Hmm...maybe you're right. All the same, I kinda wish we'd have given it to someone else instead. But," Aiden shrugged, "No use crying over spilled milk. Good thing we get up so early, eh? Otherwise I wouldn't be able to have my toast and syrup, which I know you find to be a most delightful dish." He grinned broadly.
Gwen rolled her eyes at him. "One day I'm going to lace your beloved toast and syrup with oranges. See how much you'd like it then."
Aiden made gagging sounds. "You keep those devilish oranges of yours away from my poor toast and syrup. Otherwise I'll jinx them full of slugs."
Gwen waved her hand dismissively, "As if you would."
Aiden grinned. "You're right. I wouldn't."
They both laughed, and continued on to breakfast.
OOC: Little do they know what the evil Narcissa Black is up to... mwahahaha!

Narcissa stared blankly at the wand in her hands. NOW what was she supposed to do with the thing? Looking around the area for anyone who could've dropped it, and spotting no one, she shrugged and pocketed it, deciding she's turn it into the lost and found whenever she had the chance.
OCC: er, how on earth is SHE supposed to know it's Chelsea's? Chelsea needs to come in looking for her wand.
Narcissa played with the wand between her fingers in her pocket, there was something on it.....yanking her hand out, she was surprised to find a black, sticky, tar-like substance on her fingers. Quickly pulling back out the wand, she saw that a smeared blotch of the black ink was all over it. She had not seen it before because it had blended in with the dark color of wood the wand was made of. Tompkins....she though evilly, and quickly hurried out to find Trent.

OCC: Mari is currently way to busy w/ her many many sports, so hasn't had much or any time to ISS. We're gonna have to put this plot on hold for while.....but we can be working on the love potion. I'll start a new section in "Hogwarts Grounds" called "Mr. C Quat, Beneath the Oak Tree".

OOC- While it IS true that I've been gone almost every weekend and have about 4 hours of free time a day (half of which is used up by doing chores), I can still roleplay here. Let's keep the plot going. I've been waiting for YOU WW, surprisingly enough. I thought you were gonna post Narcissa somewhere and then Trent could walk in.
Anyway...ready when you are to keep this going! Sorry I've been so scare everyone! *guilty look*
