History: Anna was born, on a very hot day in July, to Adam and Holly Cunnings. She lived in a large house in Liverpool, England for the first 4 years of her life, but when she was 4 1/2, her family and she moved to an apartment in London. Anna and her sister, Melanie (2 years younger), grew up in a magical world, as their mom and dad were a witch and wizard. When Megan (7 years younger) was born, the family decided that they needed a bigger house. So, with borrowing a little bit of money from her grandparents, Anna's parents bought a small mansion. It was then that her grandparent's moved in.

Hair: (color, texture, length) A light brown with natural blonde streaks. Just past her shoulders and slightly wavy. She usually wears it up.

Body Type: (muscular, chubby, scrawny, etc.) She's relatively thin (thin, not skinny) and pretty muscular from playing Quidditch.
How do you dress? You will usually see her in jeans and some kind of nice shirt, but if it's a special occasion, she'll dress up a little more. She likes to be comfortable, so she doesn't care TOO much about what she wears.
How do you present yourself? (What is the initial reaction of most people on meeting you?) When she first meets people, she is pretty shy and doesn't say too much, but once she gets to know them, she opens up and becomes herself.
Personality
General (give us a few paragraphs on your everyday temperament) Very bold and outgoing. She loves to talk, and she's not at all afraid to speak her mind. She's very friendly, and a loyal friend. She is also a relatively good student. She's very funny, and she doesn't care much about what people think about her, so she's been known to do something stupid or embarrassing to make people laugh.

What makes you sad? What are you like when you are sad?
Anna is a very emotional person. When she gets sad, she cries for awhile, then, she usually goes off somewhere by herself to think. If it's what she deems serious enough, she'll then talk to her friends about it, but mostly, she likes to deal with it by herself.
What makes you angry? What are you like when you are angry? She is hardly ever truly angry, but she does get mad at a lot of little things. She has a terrible temper, so when she does get ANGRY, watch out! Her anger doesn't usually last long, though.
What makes you happy? What are you like when you are happy? When she's happy, she's always wearing a smile. She might talk more than usual.
What are you like when you are hyper? When she's hyper, she talks nonstop, and when she's hyper is usually when she does something stupid.
Are you outgoing, shy, somewhere between? Somewhere in between, but leaning more toward outgoing. She is shy around people she doesn't know, but when she gets to know them, she's fine.
Do you make friends easily? Yes! SHe loves meeting new people...
How smart are you? She's pretty smart, she just doesn't show it. She doesn't really care about her academics, so she does the bare minimum of work. She still manages to get good grades in almost everything, though (Herbology being the exception).
How important is it to you to follow the rules? Sort of. She likes to bend the rules once in awhile just to see what will happen. She's only gotten detention once, though, but she's lost tons of points for Ravenclaw throughout the years.
What makes you different, original, special, unique? SHe loves music. She plays the guitar (her grandpa and her dad taught her), and she sings too. She even has her own band with 3 of her friends (she sings and plays the guitar in the band), and she writes all of her own songs (music AND lyrics).
Likes/Dislikes
What are your hobbies or interests? What do you do in your free time? Writing music and lyrics, reading, talking, hanging out with friends, playing Quidditch (not on the House team, just for fun).
What kind of people do you like to be around? What are the kinds of people you can't stand? She likes to be around people who share some of the same interests as her. SHe can't stand popular, stuck-up, self-centered, and conceited people who only care about themselves. That's not to say she doesn't like ANY popular kids, because she herself is quite popular. She just doesn't like the ones that let it go to their heads.
What is your favorite color? Is there a color you really hate? She likes all blues, and there isn't a color that she hates, although she's not a huge fan of purple.
Strengths/Weaknesses
Classes? She is best at Charms and Transfiguration, but she's HORRIBLE at Herbology.
Talents? Her music and Quidditch.

Terrible temper, boy crazy (although she's toned it down a TON since she started dating Brad), and she doesn't always think before she does something.

~Train Ride to Hogwarts~
"Where've you been, Anna? I've been looking all over for you," Anna heard someone say. She looked up and saw her best friend, Erin, smiling down at her.
"Erin!" she cried. "I found this empty compartment so I thought I should save it for us and the guys."
"Ah, good thinking," replied Erin, sitting down opposite Anna. They immediately started talking about their summers, but were interrupted shortly when someone else entered their compartment.
"ANDY," shrieked both girls, excitedly.
One of their 2 other best friends, Andrew (Andy, for short), came into the compartment, dragging his trunk behind him. He was greeted with hugs and "We missed you's" from both girls. Andy had been best friends with the girls since their second year at Hogwarts, but he lived in the United States, so only saw him once over the summer.
"Wow, it's so good to see you guys again," said Andy, sitting down next to Anna. "And it's so good to be going back to Hogwarts, too. I'm ready for a new school year to start."
Just as Anna was about to reply, the compartment door slid open yet again, and in walked in the final member of their group of friends, Brad. The girls greeted him the same way as they did Andy, and after Brad had put his trunk away, they all sat down again and started chatting about their summers.
"It's good to be back," Anna thought, listening as her 3 friends talked, happily.
She was back in the company of her 3 best friends, and she was happy. She couldn't wait for what Hogwarts would bring this year.

Suggestions
Okay, so. Emma and I have talked about your application and we have some suggestions for you.
We're thinking that she's not really suited toward Ravenclaw house, with the attitude she has toward her school work. It's just too contradictory. Also, we really need her to be in a different year - 1st to 5th. We have far too many 6th (and 7th) years as it is.
The history needs more depth - it really doesn't say a whole lot about her. Oh, and scratch the small mansion thing. It seems a little bit disjointed and out of place, as if you just stuck it in there and it doesn't really need to be. If you are going to keep it, flesh it out - WHY did they want a small mansion? What was the point? Especially if they had to borrow money? How did Anna like living in a small mansion? Was her family rich? etc.
With her inclination towards Quidditch and liking of wearing jeans, Emma and I think she would make a really great tomboy! We really like this: She's very funny, and she doesn't care much about what people think about her, so she's been known to do something stupid or embarrassing to make people laugh. and suggest you build on that and the tomboyishness. Also, with the emotionalness...if she's going to be a tomboy it doesn't QUITE fit. Maybe she's really emotional, say, but she doesn't like people to know and so she hides it.
We think the thing about the temper and impulsiveness is good, but take out the boy-crazy, it doesn't work with a tomboy. As Emma puts it, more 'real' faults. This is a major problem with most people's characters - not enough faults! Your average human being has at least one thing about her that other people can't stand. ISS is no different. Give Anna at least three things that are pretty obnoxious, hateful, or otherwise negative about her. The guitar playing is good, and she seems like she would really dislike Trent and Narcissa - a definate point in her favor!
With the changes we think you're going to need to rethink the whole app and redo the writing sample.

You can switch them, yes. I'd REALLY beg you NOT to put the boys in Gryffindor if you possibly would consider not doing it...but you probably want them in there. We just have WAY TOO MANY BOYS IN GRYFFINDOR RIGHT NOW!
