Being Gentlemanly...
James followed Lily into the Ravenclaw common room. It reminded him of his own familiar Gryffindor one. It wasn't set up similar, really, except the excess of chairs and tables and the fireplace, but it had the same feeling as the Gryff common room. He liked it.
"Where do you want these...?" James bit his lip for a split second. It was driving him crazy not being able to mess up his hair.

"Um. Anywhere," Lily said. "You can set them on that chair if you like, I'm pretty sure no one will disturb them." She sighed and dumped her armful on the chair she had indicated. "I need another bag."
my first post!
Carina (who had been lying unseen on a large sofa) rubbed her eyes and grumpily awoke from her nap. She had just been rudely awakened by the sound of books slamming onto a wooden chair.
She looked around and saw Lily and James standing at the far side of the common room. Hmm, that's funny.... she thought. Why is James in here? Maybe Lily is finally warming up to him...
She smiled and made a mental note to ask her about it later....but then received a better idea. I think I'll just stick around myself and find out.... she thought. She silently slid against the wall and into the shadows, where she proceeded to inch her way toward the door of the girls dorm. I don't think they'll see me behind here... she thought as she slipped behind the door.
Running late....
James waved his hand dismissively, "Nah, I hang onto it in case mine splits. Wouldn't hex something I would use myself, now would I?"
When Lily looked at him bemusedly he grinned, "Don't answer." James ran his fingers through his hair as he checked his watch, "But I'll give it to you after first class or something, we're really going to be late if we don't hurry." James rogueishly looked at her sideways, "I thought you were the stickler for the rules."

Re: Running late....
James swelled with happiness at Lily's tiny smile. She was so beautiful when she smiled - not like the other girls, who were hot, or cute. They tried too hard. Lily was effortlessly beautiful. But James Potter did not dwell on girls.
Much. James ruffled his hair and stepped quickly ahead of Lily to slide the portrait open for her.

lolWell, thought Carina, he certainly looks and acts MUCH more mature this year...
She sighed at the thought of Lily and James together...and dissmissed it almost immediatly. "She'd never loose her pride and go for James...would she?" she said to Codswallop (who was busy cleaning his paws and had not heard a word she said). She made a mental note to keep tabs on them for the rest of the year.
She grabbed her bookbag and hurried after them, making sure not to follow too closly. Codswallop silently trailed after her...
