Chesapeake Triathlon 2006
Chessie folks, the 2006 Chesapeake Triathlon is upon us -- August 5-6 at Rita Jones' property, Woodville, Ontario (west of Lindsay, east of Lake Simcoe).
The triathlon weekend consists of two (2) WC/WCI/WCX trials on Saturday this year followed on Sunday by a Regional Specialty show with Veteran and Puppy Sweepstakes, as well as two (2) All-breed Obedience Trials.
All chessies entered in one or more of the events are entered into the CBRCC's Chesapeake Triathlon. Points are award for participation and performance, as well as random bonus points that can make you or break you in your quest for the title. As well as bragging rights for having the Chesapeake Triathlete of the year, rosettes go to the top 6 chessie triathletes.
If you haven't done so, go to the CBRCC web site (www.cbrcc.ca) to download the premium lists and get your entry forms in before closing (specialty and obedience close July 25, WC closes July 31).
Even if you're not interested in competing, you are more than welcome to come out and meet other chessie fanciers and some fantastic dogs, too. The event is always one of the largest gatherings of chessies in Canada. Bring your pup along and show him off to other chessie folks. Don't be shy. Get ready for a weekend full of chessies and fun!
