She was born in Australia the last of triplets (her sister's names are Chrysanthemum Elodie and Delphinium Octavia) Her Parents are both employed as Foreign Relation agents and they travel extensively regulating highly dangerous experiments throughout the world. Consequently, Bella has traveled to many exotic places.
Her hobbies include singing in the shower with her pulchritudinous soprano voice, raising venomous werturgor (a special plant that only grows in Antarctica in the wild), and dancing the tango to rock music when she can find a partner. She knows all there is to know about turgor pressure and water potential. She has a great desire to make a difference in the world and knows that teaching is the best way to do that.

Appearance: sweet, kindly face, blonde hair to her shoulder blades, about 5ft. 1.6in., 112.8 lb. with little dancer feet(size 5) so that she can dance the Tango when she can find a partner.
Skin: (color, type, freckles, scars, etc.) Olive skin with slight freckles on her nose from scratching off sunburns
Hair: (color, texture, length) blonde to the shoulder blades and a little bit of fringe (fringe is the British word for bangs in case you didn’t know.)
Eyes: (color, size, eyelashes, eyebrows) up close they look like green, but they look brown from a distance.

What are you like day to day? Polite
What makes you sad? What are you like when you are sad? -I am sad when a student fails an assignment; I end up re-planning my next lessons so that next time nobody will fail.
What makes you angry? What are you like when you are angry? -I am angry when Peeves finds his way into the Greenhouses because he makes a huge mess. I am like a lightning storm when I am angry, but the students never get the opportunity to see that side of me.
What makes you happy? What are you like when you are happy?- I am happy when students get A’s or above and when I receive newsy letters from my sisters or parents. People notice that I am happy because I sing and dance as I go down the hallways.
What are you like when you are hyper, or excited?- normal because if I am not hyper I am not my natural self.
Are you outgoing, shy, somewhere between?- totally and completely outgoing and fearless

How important is it to you to follow the rules?-very, the one thing worse than a student with an F is a student that breaks the rules (whether they have an ABCD or F).

Tendency to sing normal conversations which makes others nervous, she thinks her life is a Musical, unlike most Ladies who think their life is a Soap Opera.
Anything else you can think of?- Yes this application is ridiculously Long! It has taken up all of my computer time for two days in a row and then some. I am awful glad that I don’t have an essay to type this weekend. In addition I hope that the Price of tea in China doesn’t go up any time soon because that would be bad. Never dance with an elephant because they have two left feet.
Writing Sample
Write a lesson plan for your class, not what happens during class, but a /lesson plan/, and what your thoughts, feelings, and actions are when you first come back to Hogwarts for new term, prior to students' arrival.
-teach the students to listen to honking pratalia seeds
-have the students practice listening to the seeds for the remainder of class.

"Herbology Teacher", it's a positively pulchritudinous application. I very much enjoyed reading it and getting to know Bella.
I have only two comments - first of all, as Sara pointed out, you need a longer writing sample. For an example, check out any of the teacher applications in the Accepted Characters folder - they're all terrific examples of what we're looking for in a teacher writing sample. The second thing is that Bella, while being a person possessed of many peculiarities, doesn't have any real flaws. This is one of the things we work on hardest on ISS - designing well rounded characters - which is why I'm pointing it out to you.
I'd think about Bella's personality and figure out at least one thing that could be considered a serious flaw. From reading the application, some suggestions I have would be featherbrained, or forgetful, or an inability to be serious. Stuff like that. And I'm sorry for the application length...it really does give Sara and I a great window into the character's soul so that we can see if s/he is fit for ISS.
I am looking forward to seeing what you can do to perfect this! It's a positively pulchritudinous application, as I mentioned, and you're well on your way to acceptance.

Yuppy-a thought process
OOC: This is super weird, most ly because it is awful hard to be out of ch. when you are just a prospective ch. (did that make sense?)- anyhow i am glad that Emma picked up on yuppy being rather forgetful and featherbrained, that really was the idea. i realize that yuppy is a bit exotic, but the way i understand this from bookworm yup would be a super fun ch. to play. i will admit that i accidentally skipped over the thoughts and feelings about returning bit, but do you think this lady is really capable of anything other than excitement and hyper-active anticipation? one thing about bella that i did not write or hint at is that she has a hard time with remembering thing such as important dates and times, names, and other such important-but-not-so-important items i suppose that this goes along with the forgetfulness huh.

I agree about her being capable of little more than hyperactive excitement, but write that. The writing sample is very important, since there's no point to making up a character if you can't write with them - so we have to have a sample of how that writing would be.
Do hurry though, I'm looking forward to Professor Yup.

Thanks for clarifying the distractedness/forgetfulness/featherbrained bit. But I second Sara on the need for a writing sample - it is hands-down the MOST important part.

FYI I am Bookworm and Errol's sister. i hope that that clarifies who's ch. Yup is
Writing Sample: the way that the Application was set up I didn't realize that you were wanting me to write a sample post forclass. perhaps you will clarify ths for future applicants. " Good Morning class! I see that you all did your written assignment on spitting thistle-would you all pass your parchment to the front of the greenhouse now." shouted Professor Yup over the din of the talking third years. after collecting the parchments she took her place in front of a rather large and ugly flower pot. " Now today's lesson is on fool's grass" she shouted. Does anyone know why it is called fool's grass?" nobody volunteered an answer-"Well thats all right we are here to learn" she smiled. "It is called Fool's grass because real grass has seeds whereas fool's grass is really a moss because it has spores. I have placed a packet of spores and a pot on each table for you to practice with. here is what to do" she whipped out her wand ans said "Growthspurttt" suddenly the pot was filled with what looked like ordinary grass. Then she said "Sporify" and the grass disappeared. "There now you have seen what to do now get a move on"

I almost forgot to ask------Are the In ch. bits supposed to be in present tense or past tense? Does it even matter? ARe you just super tired of me and my slowness?
By the way i really enjoy being able to use dead words for once in my life, even if it is a short lived satisfaction, i like it all the same.

Hi!
dead worde are words like 'thing' 'stuff' 'really' that don't really .....well........have a specific meaning or somthing like that. I don't know for sure, this is Bookworm, not Herbology Teacher (we need to get her a different OOC name) so I'm not exactally sure.
Herbology Teacher said (we REALLY {that is a dead word} seed to ger her a new OOC name) that she chatted w/ you, Emma, and you said the character was accepted, but we would both like to see that official. Well, if all goes well, Herbology will start tomarrow night! We'll brainstorm idas TOGETHER, we'll try and think of somthing that would be fun to RP for the first class, that is, IF 'Yuppy' (I have NO IDEA how she came up w/ that name) is officially accepted......

Gotcha - that's funny, I am pretty sure I could define and find synonyms for all those 'dead' words. We have the MOST peculiar language.
Well, Sara gives the final say on accepted-ness, but I'm pretty sure it's accepted as the revisions were made. I'll get back to you on that by tomorrow. For now, consider it accepted.
