Favorite Local Sports Radio Station
I dont know about you all but I am glad I have a choice when it comes to Sports Radio in the triangle. I like to listen to Sports Talk. I dont like the talking commercials for Time Warner Cable or D & J Mortgage that seem to take up half of these shows. Dont you get enough commercials in between breaks.I Dont hear all those talking commercials on that OTHER sports talk station that I have been listening too alot lately.

I dont think you could call someone a putz Charlie but I like listening to both. I go back and fourth with the show and Colin Cowherd (colin has some pretty good opinions on things), Then flip over to Rome then before I hear Adams voice I go back to 1490 and the pac man
...
Ezsteel, if you don't like the commercials, then either cough up some cash for the station or apply to be a salesman for their advertising department. How do you expect them to meet expenses, pay salaries and bills?
I like both stations. It's like apples and oranges. Both are in the same group, yet there are distinctive differences between the them.
Re: ...
Im a geek - ill listen to clark howard in the morning- The guy can give some insiteful info. I listen to House of sport which i like alot when being forced to drive my wife around cary for morning sales. I am sure there are alot of us out there.
Cant really complain but i 1090 is not really that clear so 850 is what i listen to more. I would love more southern football other than the local teams on 850 and i hear that 1090 does offer that.
Since when did 850 become and sponsor of the NY Yankees? Are there other major league teams who are better than the yankees? AG gives more attention to the yankees than some of the teams that are closer to this area.
Re: ...
The Buzz gets kind of defensive when you post another station on their website...insecurity I guess. I like the Buzz...but I get sick of hearing AG yap about the F'N Yankees! I'd rather hear about the Braves...or O's...and at least I can get that at 1090. Plus I hear 1090 is using Jarret for alot of their football shows this fall since he isnt at the buzz anymore. HOWEVER...I like David Glenn. Hate that Gordon guy. Love the Pig. Bottom line...I like both stations for different reasons.

LET THIS STOP
People how many endless strings have there been like this??? What is the point of getting on 850 THE BUZZ MESSAGE BOARD, to say you dont like there station. They are not getting defensive, just pointing out to you all how stupid it is in a polite way. If you dont like 850 the Buzz, then why the hell are you on there message board???
So come on lets find something that is actually interesting to talk about. Like tee ball dad putting a bounty on a handicapped kid, or LB coaching the Knicks.
Thank You!

lifeline
The purpose of this post is to throw a lifeline to mr tootall. He may not have a way to link here, to pay his last respects.
Oh by the way, tootall sez:
Quote:I'm kind of surprised he's not giving more attention to the New York Mets.
AG divorced the Mets when he grew tired of their lackluster play & questionable roster moves.
Back on topic:
The recent Buzz changes have been somewhat less than sparkling. We have traded:
ESPN for Fox
Messbored for a Blog
The addition of The Hank, on Sun, is a plus... but he could use a better time slot.
