First Day Back at Hogwarts-Welcoming Feast-Ravenclaw Table
Ravenclaw Table
The noble Ravenclaw table, decorated in blue and bronze, sits second from the left.
The Grey Lady glided up the the end of the table. "Welcome to Ravenclaw House," she said demurely, and then floated out of the Great Hall once again.
Marti watched the Grey Lady glide off, then turned to her plate, loading it with fluffy mashed potatos, cheesy broccoli...all the things she liked best.
As she chewed, she looked around at the other Ravenclaws.
Ginger saw Marti looking at her and waved. "Hi! Do you see Lily anywhere? I want to congratulate her for making Head Girl."
Marti pointed, "she's down at the other end trying to avoid Potter. He's Head Boy; they had to share a compartment on the train."
Ginger groaned and laughed. "I can see why she's hiding! If I had to spend a whole train ride with that creep..." She laughed again.
Brandon ate in brooding silence, more than ready for the Welcoming Feast to be over. This sort of thing really wasn't his cup of tea, he thought acidly - too many people doing nothing worthwhile. This whole year would be that way, he was sure. He was already far beyond his year - what could they teach him here that he didn't already know?
He spotted Marti, his cousin, a few seats down from him, and decided not to say anything. If she wanted to talk to him, she could feel free to do so, but he wouldn't start any conversations himself. The two had struck up an unsteady friendship over six years ago, when they'd met at their grandparent's home, but Bran was in far too ill a mood to initiate chatter with anyone, even someone he (grudgingly) respected.
