Introduction to Astronomy
Professor Nula Estrella got her lesson plan out in front of her. It was the first day, so there wasn't a lot on it:
I. Introduce myself and the course
II. Rules
III. Questions
IV. Any time left? if so, open textbook to pg. 4 and talk about the Big Dipper.
Professor Estrella got up from her seat and took some chalk. She wrote in neat letters on the chalkboard Prof. Estrella, then surveyed her work and strode out to the humongous balcony, where most of her classes would take place. Wiping a few drops off of her face, Prof. Estrella stared into the sky. It would not be a good night for stargazing, but it was the first day anyway. She turned back around and walked into the classroom back to the chalkboard. Up the chalk went again into a corner of the chalkboard to write, "Homework: read pg. 4-6 and summarize." Than it went back down and Prof. Estrella sat in her seat, hands clasped, and waited for the students to arrive.
Aaron dragged himself over to a seat and sat down heavily. He just couldn't concentrate, even though class wasn't started yet. Mark knew what he was doing when it came to pranks. But he needed a large list of things. Maybe he'd send Flash to his parents and ask them for everything. But how Flash was going to get back he did not know. It didn't seem as if the teacher had noticed him, and there was nobody else there, maybe he could sneak right back and send it right now. It couldn't hurt. And if he showed up late... well the potions teacher had let of someone when they where late. but then someone else came in and lied, and got detention because of it. So be honest, and hope for the best. But then again, he may not be late. The profit outweighed the risk, so he decided to go for it.
Rosalee.
Rosalee poked her head into the classroom. The room was almost empty. She quietly walked into the room and sat down in the back, so as to be less conspicuous.
Aaron Again
Aaron slipped back into the tower and smiled at the teacher. He saw one other student at the back of the room, but other than that he'd made good time. He approached the front of the room and introduced himself to the teacher. "Hi, I'm Aaron Peter Callahan, 1st year Ravenclaw." The teacher smiled, and he took a seat at the front of the classroom, pulled his astronomy book out of his bag, and started to read. One surefire way to get a teacher to like you is to read when you don't have to.
Penny and Matthew
Penny plodded into the classroom, followed by Matthew Fisher, a Ravenclaw 6th year. There was no one else in the room, except for Rosalee and a small boy Penny didn't know--and, of course, the teacher. Penny and Matthew plopped into two chairs on the left side of the room.

Morgan entered the tower classroom at a run and slipped into a seat by Rose.
"Hallo and good evening," she whispered cheerfully. "Where is everybody?"

Brandon stalked into the class, in his usual irritable temper. He drew a chair behind Marti and took out a thick treatise on arglewort, utterly ignoring everyone else in the room.
Rosalee again
As the class didn't seem to be ready to start for awhile, Rose pulled a book from her bag, which she had dropped beside her chair. She opened it and was completely immerced and hardly heard the other students racket.
Carina
Carina practically threw herself into the Astronemy Tower. Whoever thought of putting a class at the top of ten flights of stairs at night after a full day of work is insane and I don't like them!!! she thought. Everyone else seemed to be in a much better mood than her.
All of a sudden, two sudden thoughts made her much happier. One, she had lost Rochelle on the way here and was happy to see she wasn't in this class, and two, Remus was looking her way. It had been heaven working with him in Care of Magical Creatures, and now was another chance to make a move.
OOC: although he is probablly staring because she practically knocked the door down coming in! LOL. You decide

Chelsea practically skipped into the Astronomy tower along with several girlfriends. She always got hyper late at night. Spotting Carmondy waiting outside the room, Chelsea grinned. How like her. I wonder where Aiden is...maybe he's already in here. She peered around to check.

Aiden saw Chelsea walk in from the corner of his eye. He slouched a little in his head and busied himself talking to Gwen.
"I hope class starts soon. I'd much rather be in bed right now and I'm ready to get it over with so I can be."

Gwen, seeing Chelsea out of the corner of her eye, put her head on her desk and shook with silent laughter.
"What's so funny?" Aiden demanded.
"Don't talk to me," Gwen croaked, doing her best not to burst into uproarious - and loud - giggles.

Morgan slipped into a seat by Rose. "Good evening, or night," she said, "Whichever you prefer."

Aiden looked miffed and said in an undertone, "But if I'm not talking to you Chelsea will seize the opprotunity to come over here! No doubt she thinks I've been encouraging..." He shuddered. He really wouldn't mind Chelsea, honest, if she just left him alone like she always used to!

Class starts
Ginger and Skilmer walked into the classroom. They sat close together up frontand to the right, away from Loral, who sat on the other side of the room.
Professor Estrella stood up. "It doesn't look like everybody's here yet, but I think we have enough people to get started." She gazed around the room at all the happy--and sleepy--faces. "I think we'd best start by introducing ourselves. I'm Professor Estrella, and I like cherry custard and telling corny jokes. Who'd like to go next?"
Loral raised a hand full of gold bracelets and rings. "I'm Loral Havelly and I'm a Ravenclaw third year."
"And something you like...?" promted the teacher.
Loral scowled. "I like...I like pretty trinkets..." (here she fondled her electrum necklace) "...and people with intelligence."
"Indeed. That is, um, very interesting. Anyone else, or shall I call on people?"
Ginger raised her hand. "I'm Ginger and I'm a third-year Ravenclaw who likes Spanish Green Dragons but not snobs." She threw a glance out of the corner of her eye at Loral, who was still polishing her necklace.
"Ginger...?"
"Jengibre."
"Well, Ginger Jengibre, did you know of the constellation Draconium? The star on the top of its head is an elf star--it's tinted green. They're not common at all."
Ginger shook her head politely. Skilmer raised his hand. "I'm Skilmer Kimles and I like porridge."

Gwen lifted her head to introduce herself, but was overcome by a fit of silent gigles and so didn't - and hoped the professor didn't notice.

Morgan stood, flicking her rambunctious dark curls off of her shoulder.
"I'm Morgan Louisa Bendigeid," she said. "I'm in Gryffindor...a fifth year...and I like orange, green and purple and I don't believe anyone should study when they don't absolutely have to." She faked a grimace in the direction of Brandon, who scowled and pretended not to see her.
Lily stood when Morgan had resumed her seat. "I'm Lily Evans, Ravenclaw seventh year," she said, and stifled a yawn. "I like Transfiguration and cats."
"Thomas Farrington," Thomas said quickly before Lily had had a chance to sit down. "I'm a sixth year in Gryffindor. I like Quidditch."

Aiden looked from Gwen (who he'd been watching with curious amusement) to the boy who'd declared a liking for Quidditch. Aiden hadn't caught his name, but it was no surprise about the Quidditch. He practically let off an aura of 'jock'.
Aiden stood. "I'm Aiden Jeffreys - Hufflepuff seventh year," he said for the second time that day. "I enjoy building models - " he glanced at the jock - "and I like Quidditch too."
Aiden sat down again and nudged Gwen's foot. "What's so funny, you?"

Prof. Estrella asked the class to wait a minute while she went to the door to see if there were any more students on their way. (OOC: This means that your character, unless you wish otherwise, is in the classroom already.) All she saw was Carmondy, lounging against the wall.
"Excuse me," Prof. Estrella said. "Why are you out here? Class is inside."
(OOC: If your character doesn't manage to get an intro. in time, that's OK, I'll pretend she know's their name anyway; that they did it and it's just not documented)
