History:
Selena Bonney needed to borrow money for the (long) trainride home from Hogwarts in her last year, as well as needing someone to travel with her, so she asked around and met Hugh Ashman, who was willing to loan her the money and travel with her (after they discovered that their homes were relatively close). Hugh and Selena began to date after their graduation from Hogwarts and eventually got engaged. Isaac was their first and only child.
Isaac's family has a lot of money, but they're not proud or stuck-up. They won't spend their money very much either, so they have normal stuff, normal-sized house, etc. They use magic a lot, and always expected Isaac to get a Hogwarts letter (which isn't to say they weren't overjoyed when he did). Isaac is looking forward to beginning school with other wizards and witches his age.

Appearance
Skin: Warm pale (as in, not tan, but not deathly white), tendency to light freckles

Face: Round, pointed chin, mischevious smile, freckles on cheeks (beneath eyes)

Body Type: Average (tending to thin, but not painfully)
How do you dress? His favorite shirt is red with yellow and blue stripes, and he prefers to wear jeans.
How do you present yourself? He's pretty average - most people think he's just "a normal person trying to have fun".
Personality
Isaac doesn't get mad very easily, but he can get mad. When he meets people he'll introduce himself but won't make the first move (he'll only say hi after they say hi first). He's not really nervous about meeting people as a general rule, but he is a little shy/bashful. He doesn't talk to anybody he doesn't know. He'll normally talk a little softly and almost never talks loudly. He's still quiet around people who know him, but he does talk more in familiar environments.
What are you like day to day? Pretty quiet, slightly bashful, soft-spoken.
What makes you sad? What are you like when you are sad? He's very close to animals - having an animal die really makes him down. He'll cry softly (most people won't notice).
What makes you angry? What are you like when you are angry? When someone insults him - that's the only thing that makes him really mad. He might yell back at the person and then walk away.
What makes you happy? What are you like when you are happy? He might yell really loudly (outside), but if he's not outside he will still be pretty quiet. 
What are you like when you are hyper? He doesn't really get hyper often, but when he is hyper he runs around a lot and seems more wired than usual.
Are you outgoing, shy, somewhere between? Somewhere in between, leaning toward the side of shy.
Do you make friends easily? Yes, but they have to make the first move.
How smart are you? He's pretty smart - after all, he's in Ravenclaw! However, he's not that focused on his studies and doesn't care so much one way or another what grades he gets (though he normally pulls good ones).
How important is it to you to follow the rules? He's not really a rule-breaker, but he will do some things if he wants to get revenge on someone.
What makes you different, original, special, unique? He's very, very close to animals and loves having pets.

What are your hobbies or interests? What do you do in your free time? He likes to read books and write in his journal.
What kind of people do you like to be around? What are the kinds of people you can't stand? People who are mean to him (he can't stand them!). Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.

Writing Sample
(Getting sorted)
Isaac watched as the people in front of him went down to the stool with the Sorting Hat and received their instructions. He had a feeling that he would end up in Hufflepuff House. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but both his parents were Ravenclaw graduates, and he thought they might be a little disappointed if he didn't get Sorted into Ravenclaw as well.
When it was his turn he went up and McGonagall placed the Hat on his head.
You're smart - but I dunno if I want to place you in Ravenclaw, the Hat said in his ear. It waited for what seemed like twenty minutes (but was in reality much shorter) before finally giving one more "Hm" and bellowing -
"RAVENCLAW!"
Isaac thought that it was a good thing, because he had hoped to please his parents. He went down to sit at the Ravenclaw table and got about twenty congratulations for making Ravenclaw House.

I say he's accepted. It's great that he's quiet and still short-tempered; it's a nice combination.
