Katoka Martin (Marti)
Katoka Martin, a.k.a. Marti, is a recluse. A seventh year in Ravenclaw house, she is brilliant and excels in all of her classes and has extremely high standards for herself. She doesn’t understand why her peers can’t realize that they need to make their schoolwork their first priority. Therefore, she coldly disassociates herself from them and keeps to herself, and her family. She has two cousins, a brother and sister, attending Hogwarts: Bran and Morgan Louisa Bendigeid. They are basically the extent of everyone she associates with at school. She appreciates Bran as her mental superior, and Morgan because she is sweet and undemanding – Marti can be seen smiling when in her cousin’s company.
She lives with her father and mother, neither of whom she is close to. She has an older brother, who is married and awaiting the arrival of his first child. They share a special bond (he nicknamed her) and he encourages her to come out of her intellectual shell. Around him she is more comfortable and actually laughs. She doesn’t like her sister-in-law, but is looking forward to the new baby in a very dispassionate, Marti-like way.
In any of her spare time she’s not using to study, she is an avid artist, and can also be seen sometimes going for rambling, solitary walks. Marti has light blue eyes, long black hair, and is decidedly pale. She always wears comfortable, simple (boring, really) clothing.
