Lunchtime for the Gryffindors
OOC:since nobody else seems to want to start this, I will! bookworm
IC: Rose came in with Tonks and Morgan (OOC: hint hint) after their conversation outside, a bit wet from the sprinkling rain. She headed over to the Gryffindor table and sat, then loaded her plate.
Elizabeth walked into the Great Hall and strode over to the gryffindor table. She glanced around, but didn't see anyone she knew very well, so she just sat down by herself and began to eat.
Re: Lunchtime for the Gryffindors
Tonks chewed her sub sandwich merrily, and said, "Wonder if Carmody could get anything about unicorn water out of Herring during lunch detention...I think she was a bit suspicious when she was playing twenty questions this morning..."

"See you in a bit," Morgan said to Rose and Tonks. Instead of sitting with them she took a seat beside Lizzie Minkle, who - despite the age gap - was a close friend.
"Morning," Morgan said, sliding into the seat and helping herself to lunch in the same motion. "Or afternoon, whichever you prefer. How are you?"
lunch
"Good afternoon!" Lizzie said, smiling brightly at Morgan. "I'm ok, even better now that I'm not sitting alone," she said. "I'm looking forward to Care of Magical creatures after lunch. I don't usually care for it that muh, but the first classis always good. What about you?" She asked. "Having an ok first day back?"

"It's been all right," Morgan said. "Carmondy's up to her usual tricks - I guess you know she's in detention now. Thank goodness I found you...Carmondy's best in small doses."
lunch
"Yeah, se's definitely a character," Lizzie gigled. "Small doses is right. She's a little over the top sometimes," she trailed off. "Ok, well, actually, a lot of the time she's over the top," Lizzie laughed as she bit into a roll.

Re: lunch
Sirius Black strode into the Great Hall head held high, followed closely by James, Remus, and Peter.
"Looks like we get our pick of the spots," Sirius said, eyeing the mostly-empty Gryffindor table. "I think we should do the world a favor, though, don't you?" Without waiting for an answer from his friends, he approached Morgan and Lizzie.
"Hello, ladies," he said expansively. "Is there room for a dashing gentleman and his henchman near here?"

Re: lunch
James snorted loudly. "Dashing, you? Please! You know perfectly well that applies ten times better to me." He grinned at Lizzie with a slight wink.

"Fine," Sirius said, looking very put out - "You can be dashing if you really want to. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm the most dashing, not to mention witty and handsome to boot."

"You don't AGREE with him, do you?" James affrontedly asked Morgan as she smiled.

Morgan laughed, and waved at the seats across. "Sit if you must," she said. She wasn't entirely sure she wanted them there - she had enjoyed it being just the two of them - but Sirius Black and his friends were practically unstoppable.

OOC: Oh HO, now it's 'Sirius Black AND HIS FRIENDS' eh?
James beamed, "Thank you, m'lady." He chose the seat near Morgan. She had decidedly odd tastes, was too young for him, and in his eyes, nothing to Lily - but she was still pretty, and likable.
James scowled at his cohorts, "Anyone else going to say thank you, or are you going to be rude?" He turned to the girls apologetically, "I'm really sorry to subject you to them - they just follow me around all the time, you can't imagine how annoying it is."

OOC: I don't get you.
IC:
"Right," said Sirius, his voice dripping sarcasm. "He just doesn't want to admit that he's so impressed by me that he can't help but tag along everywhere I go. Right, Prongs?" he jabbed James with his elbow while loading his plate with the other hand.
Lizzie
"Same. Today has been ok so far, except for history of magic, but you honestly can't blame Binns for it being so boring," Lizzie said. "I'm sure that even if someone else were teaching it, it would still be really boring, not to mention a huge waste of time," She finished.

Re: Lizzie
"Maybe not," Morgan said seriously. "Who knows - maybe someday one of us will be held at wandpoint and the only way to escape alive will to know all about 'Stab the Warlock Leader in the Back Day'. You never know - the very stuff we ignore might one day save our lives." She paused dramatically, her fork poised in the air and her eyes open wide, before dissolving into laughter and continuing eating.
"You're right, it's worthless."
"Maybe he's really trying to do us all a favor," Peter interjected. "It's a tiring day - well, morning - maybe he knows we're all falling asleep in there and he's trying to help us along."
