Next Astronomy class
Professor Estrella wrote carefully and neatly on the board, "We're outside on the balcony today; please set up your telescopes," and, picking up her own telescope, walked out to the balcony to set up and get ready. After her telescope was set up, she conjured a makeshift table and summoned her star chart and notes. Then she sat in the remaining space, and casually kicked off her shoes while she waited.

Aaron walked over and set up his telescope, managing to knock it down twice and nudge someone elses once before getting it up. It was very interesting, he wasn't usually clumsy, but his telescope seemed to not like him.
He finnished and started looking around, sweeping his gaze over everybody in the room. He wasn't aware of it anymore, but whenever he was waiting for something to start he found himself looking around for someone who could possibly be his age -- a lot of things he wanted to do would be so much funner with someone else. And even Mark could only do so much.
His gaze stopped as he sighted a boy who looked about his age -- or not that much older. He noticed the Hufflpuff crest he wore and decided to say hi later.

OOC: Awww, go say hi now. nvr mind, we'll make JOSH do it, if Aaron won't...
IC: Josh watched the rest of the class boredly, proud of how easily he had managed to set up his telescope. He saw a boy near his age glance away from him a couple seats (do they have seats or do they stand?) down. Seeing that nobody else was ready to start class, he started over, accidentally bumpin a Gryffindor girl that looked to be about fifth of sixth year who had just finished setting up her telescope.
"Sorry." Josh said
"It's ok" Rose said to him. "I should have expected it. It's ok, really, don't worry about it." she wasn't really looking at him, she was concentrating on setting up her telescope yet again."
"Ok" said Josh, still a little flustered. He saw that the boy was watching him now, not working on setting u his telescope.
"Hi." he said. "My name is Pieper, Joshua Pieper. do you want help setting that up?"
"Spit is lighter

"Yeah, thanks." Aaron said shepishley. "Astronamy isn't my best subject, I've already figured that out. My name's Aaron," he said, almost as an afterthought. "Aaron Callahan."

"All right everyone!" Professor Estrella called out once everybody's telescopes were set up. "Today the first thing we will do is take off all our shoes." Seeing as some of the class were confused and not as enthusiastic as she was, she added, "Of course, you don't have to if you don't want to; but I think it's fun."
She pulled out her star chart (everyone else's cue to do the same) and called out, "Open your textbooks to page 13; we're starting a unit on Super Novas. If you'll notice, on your chart there are quite a few, and I'd like, as classwork, you to find the names of some of the major ones in your book and locate them on your starchart, and if you can, in the sky. If you have any questions, see me. If you finish early, I have a project that you can do. It will involve candy," she added slyly. "Now, get to work. And I shouldn't hear any talking! This is not a group activity!"

Marti glanced sharply at the first year. Um, lyou think you might, I dunno, look it up? Just a thought... She flipped through her book and scribbled answers and peeked through her telescope at intervals.

Rose sighed. Finally somthing she could do. One of the things she loved to with her family was stargaze. They did it on most clear nights in the summer, looking for the different constellations from the muggle book her mother had bought as stargazing together had become a habbit. Of course, she did much better without the telescope than with, so she followed the teachers instructions, just without the silly thing.
Josh smiled at Aaron. "Want to work together? Professor Estrella didn't say we couldn't? you con just bring your telescope over by mine, theres room."
