Skilmer in the Hospital Wing
Skilmer nervously walked into the Hospital Wing. After half of last night's feast of Ginger trying to persuade him to get the nurse to at least look at his leg, he'd decided to get it overwith. He cleared his throat to get the nurse's attention.

"Yes?" she asked without looking up.

"Uh, my leg is, uh, hurting, and I, um, thought maybe you could look at it?" Skilmer was really nervous now. Not only was he a rare visitor of the hospital wing (not including when he visited at the beginning of almost every year for some previous injury or another), but now he'd made himself seem like a tongue-tied idiot.

She looked up. "So what happened to this leg of yours?" she asked as she bustled over to the cabinet with magical healing supplies.

"Um..." Skilmer paused, not wanting to make himself look bad (remember the bad little boys who get in a fight), but also a little nervous about saying just how six boys, all at least two years older than he was, had jumped him over breakfast after insulting his dead mum. (OOC: for all those interested who do not know about this--hint hint, Jonica--the full story is in Skilmer's app.) "There was this, um, fight," he began stupidly, cursing his tied-up-tongue as the nurse tutted. He was too embarrassed to continue, but the nurse seemed to have gotten all the information she wanted.

"Here," she said, handing him a handful of leaves and a glass. "Go over to the little sink and fill the glass with water. Put one of the leaves in it and bring it to a boil. While it's heating up, I want you to wrap the rest of the leaves around where it hurts. When the water's at a boil, pull the leaf out and drink the infusion. I don't recommend you do it immediately afterward," she added. "Not unless you want a burnt tongue as well, and I seem to have misplaced my herbalwort."

Skilmer filled the little glass and carried it over to the oven-like heater at the wall. Despite it's small size, it took a long time to heat up, and even longer to cool back down enough to drink it. Skilmer worried about how much of class he would have to make up. At last, he was glad to be able to leave the Hospital Wing.

(OOC: Am I correct in assuming that the Nurse is Madam Pomfrey, and that no one is RPing her yet? And I'm sorry I got this post up so late :rolleyes )

Re: Skilmer in the Hospital Wing
OOC: Yes, the nurse is Madam Pomfrey, and no, no one is RPing her. And it's okay that it's up late - just try not to make it a habit. ;)
