THE RULES
No profanity or sexual content. We want to keep this a largely G-rated board. If it's a situation where it would just really really make sense if your character swore, use asterisks.
No Mary Sues. A Mary Sue is a character who is TOO PERFECT - smart, pretty, and always on top of things. This is absolutely NOT ALLOWED. Each character you submit must be balanced. Her or she may be good-looking, kind, and well-liked - but they can't be good-looking, kind, well-liked and brilliant. If a character is a genius, make sure that they have other problems. If you have any questions on what may or may not be called a Mary Sue, feel free to ask either administrator.
Tell an Admin if you're going to be gone. That way we can figure out a way to make sure your character doesn't suddenly fall of the face of the earth. Pus we like to know where our friends run off to!
Admins have the final word on what goes on in the board. We try to do what is in everyone's best interest and tend to see more of the big picture. We'd love to hear suggestions though!
Respect others. It's very simple, just the golden rule kind of thing. Oh, and don't RP other's characters without permission. It can be irritating to some people and we want to keep conflict to a minimum.
Keep your character in character, especially with those from the books. We don't need to cause Rowling to go into a mental institution wailing "WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO MY BABIES???". And as for your own characters, it's common sense that if you're going to have a reserved character, they're not going to suddenly loud and boisterous. Just keep them to the personality you applied with.
