The Halls
Aaron walked around the halls, looking for Lily Evans. Maybe he could go back to the common room -- he thought maybe she was a Ravenclaw. Worth a try. Aaron thought.
Aaron closed the door to his common room and started up the stairs. He climbed two flights and then started towards the right wing corridor. After finding this, he then looked for the 9th door on the right, found it, and knocked.
"Come in," came a voice from inside.
He opened the door and peeked in. All around he saw posters and pictures of famous quidditch games and information writen on the corners and sides. As he looked closer, he saw that the games were tricky ones, such as there was a new rule was not understood, and Madam Hooch had been practicing it seemed by looking at positions and what was happening, and then making jugments and comparing them with what really happened. It was possible, of course, only because the pictures moved.
"Yes?" she said.
"I was wondering if I could borrow a school broom, one of the good ones, one that fly's strait and fast." Aaron replied.
"Of course you can," she said with a grin. "Always good to know someone is practicing. Now follow me."
She lead out of the office and down to the Entrance Hall, and pointed to a shed. "You see that there?" She asked.
Aaron nodded and she said, "There's where the brooms are kept, you can borrow one whenever you like. I keep the good ones at in a little niche in the wall, it's better protection against the weather."

Oops
Linda walked over to the nearest window that overlooked care of magical creatures. She looked over the lawn, but saw nothing until she looked directly below her, and saw all the students pouring into the school.
Well, so much for catching the last few minutes. I might as well head down to lunch. No one will have noticed that I wasn't at my classes. Hopefully.
Linda turned around, and walked down the stairs to the Great Hall.
Alvin
Alvin Dinkleburg came strutting down the hallway in a manner that said "I'm so proud of myself!". Underneath his arms he carried a large, silver, muggle toy race car. He had always been fascinated by muggle toys. However, it was a well known fact (or at least by Alvin) that electronic devices did not work in Hogwarts, There was too much magic floating around in the air. So he's tinkered with the mini Nascar until he'd succeeded in getting it to run by magic. Now was the perfect time to test it out.
Pushing his thick-rimmed glasses up from the lower half of his nose, he briskly placed the car on the ground in front of him and rolled up his sleeves. Pulling out his rather stubby wand, he pointed it straight at the toy and shouted, "locomotive!"
He's voice echoed back to him three times, but was soon replaced by the sound of a small engine roaring as the car shot our like a bullet.
Rochelle
OOC: Rochelle would make a great prefect someday, don't you think? Er....Alvin sort of used the leg-locking curse to make the toy car go...I think you meant "Mobiliarbus"...lol...
IC:
Rochelle shrieked and jumped out of the way as a huge suit of armor came crashing down inches away from her. She spotted a small toy a few feet away, still spinning in the corner. "Impedimenta!" she roared. The car stopped moving, and she cautiously gave it a small kick with her toe. "What on earth...WHO on earth...??" she puzzled. She looked around the corner and spotted a young boy on the floor, his mouth hanging wide open. She repaired the scattered knight with a quick "reparo!" charm, and placed her hands on her hips. Alvin continued to stare with shock, and then preceded to turn red.
Rochelle was just about to begin a lecture on the "no magic in the corridors" rule , when she remembered she had just broken that rule herself. Seeing there were no other witnesses (yet...that crash must have been pretty loud), she dragged Alvin by the back of his robe into a nearby classroom.
Alvin
"DID YOU SEE THAT??" Exclaimed Alvin excitingly to the short haired girl who'd just pulled him aside.
"I suppose magic is much more powerful then any electronic muggle subsitute! I had absolutely no control of it, it was as if it had a mind of it's own. I guess this just goes on to prove that magic and muggles DO NOT mix!"
Re: Alvin
OOC:GWL, can Rochelle say whatever she was going to say so Aaron and Alvin can meet?
Aaron was walking down the halls on his way to the Ravenclaw common room when he trippen on a seemingly invisible string. He got back up and ran his hand over where the string was -- or rather where it wasn't -- and sure enough, it was there, in a perfect place to trip anyone walking by. Then he had an idea. If he could find whoever made it and get them to teach him how, it would solve a lot of problems he was having with prank preperation. He got up and started walking around, maybe whoever made it was still in the area.
OOC:And WW, the invisible string was supposed to be made by the car -- there are side effects to some spells.
Rochellle
OOC: ok Really sorry!!! I havn't't had much a chance to be on.
IC: Rochelle looked down and Alvin and stared at him with her what-on-earth-were-you-thinking glare. but as soon as she heard his reply, her face softened. For once in her life (or since breakfast anyways), she was lost for words.....well, not completely.
"Ok, first of all you are NOT a muggle, you are a wizard....a foolish one, but you'll get there, I promise! Second of all, magic is not allowed in the corridors or anywhere else, except the classrooms of course, so please keep your wand pointed down at all times." she paused and noted the disappointed look on his face. "...on a happier note....that was a pretty impressive spell for a third year!" she said, lying through her teeth.
Re: Rochellle
Aaron turned a corner just in time to see a third to fifth year and a first to third year walk come out of a classroom. Aaron wasn't that good at judging ages, but could normally find out about how old people were just by seeing them. He ran up to them and said, "Hey, there's an invisible string across the hallway that I just tripped on, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it -- after all this is only my first day here. So can I get some help?"
Alvin
Alvin grinned excitingly, "Really? An invisible string? WICKED! That must be a side effect from the magically inhanced muggle car!" he waved the toy in front of the first years face, turnining his back on Rochelle, "Where did you trip on it?"
"Right over here," Aaron said and started toward the place he had tripped. "And how can you get that car to work inside the castle -- and how does it make the string?"
Alvin
Alvin rubbed his chin thoughtfully and replied, "Well, I was able to replace the remote control by casting a charm on all of the mechanics inside of the car so that they ran magically rather than by control. I'm not sure why it would've produced an invisible string though...." he thought for a moment, "Perhaps the string was an invisible connection between the car and my wand?"
Re: Alvin
What sort of spell could you use to make muggle toys work here? Could you teach it to me? I'd kinda like to put it on an old flying rocket I have and see what it will do.
Alvin grinned, happy that someone was actually interested in what it was he was doing, "Sure I'll show you. It's reallly quite simple once you read up on it. The Library has all sorts of books about it. Do you want to go look at some?"
Re: Alvin
"Sure," Aaron said. "One thing though. Do you have to keep on doing it every time you want to use it, or do you do it once and then it's done."
Alvin
"Well it depends. If you do it right the first time, then you don't have to ever re-cast the charm. However, if you end up with something like our invisble string...then you know you've gotta try again. Exactly how big is this rocket of yours?"
Alvin
"That shouldn't be too hard to mess with. What do you want it to do? We can charm it to dance if you'd like." He grinned at his own lame sense of humor.
