I live in White Rock and have a wonderful chessie I got from Kerri at RustyRamblin Kennels in Ontario. He's a healthy, handsome, smart, hard-working dog. I know many registered, responsible, and reputable breeders in Ontario and most will ship pups out here.

Terry at Tsunami kennels is another registered and reputable breeder and she's here in Smithers, BC. (She's the only registered kennel I know of in BC, but there may be others.) She's sometimes down in the Lower Mainland at various dog shows and I'm sure you could meet some of her dogs without travelling too far.

With that being said, I do breed rescue and volunteer for Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief and Rescue and have placed a number of wonderful chessies of all ages in loving homes all over BC.

Currently, there are many chessies in foster care looking for the right "forever" home. Some are in foster care in the lower mainland and some are just south of us in Washington - some as close as Bellingham. If you're considering rescue please contact me and I'd be happy to help! There are many options available - it's just a matter of finding the right dog for the right family. We want it to be a forever match!
