Re: Early Morning in the Common Room
"If they have breakfast out this early, I'm ready," Gwen said. She left the Herbology book on the chair - it wasn't like any one was likely to steal it.

Linda arrived in the common room just in time to see Aiden and Gwen leave.
"Well isn't that nice?" she said soflty to herself. She was gazing at the Herbology book that Gwen had left on the chair. She glanced quickly around the room to make sure no one was there. She sat beside the book and propped it open on her lap. The first thing she saw was a picture of a large plant, though she had no clue whatsoever what it was. Herbology had never been a strong point. She turned the page. There was a table of contents. She turned the next page. It read: Chapter I . A movement behind her made her jump, and she quickly snapped the book shut, but accidently tore a page. She stood up quickly, but found no one there. She glanced back at the book again. She knew that whoever owned it wouldn't exactly appreciate her for what she just did. She decided she had best leave the scene of the crime, and head down to breakfast. So Linda crept over to the door, and with one last nervous glance at the book, climbed out.
Back again
Linda climbed back through the portrait hole, but still found no one there.
"That's funny, I was sure there would be someone here to bug me by now. No matter. I think I'll go back up to my dormitory and check on Frog again." And with that, she headed quietly back to her dormitory.

Re: Dripping
"I'm not your personal property or something," Gwen said, still feeling snappish. It was bad enough that Potter had been so disgustingly flirtatious over nothing more than a schedule, but she'd have expected Aiden to have a little more sense.

Re: Dripping
Gwendolyn stood furiously looking after him. While part of her felt guilty for snapping at him, especially when he'd already been awfully moody this morning, the rest of her was fuming. Where did he get off getting mad at Potter for talking to her? Even if she'd been equally irritated - but that wasn't the point.
Gwen sunk into an armchair by the fire and jumped up again with a yelp - she'd sat on the Herbology book she'd left there earlier that morning. With a sigh she opened it and flipped idly through the pages, not really paying attention to anything...until half a page fell fluttering to the floor.
Suppressing an angry cry, Gwen picked the half-page up and shoved it back into the book - a little too hard. It caught the rest of the page and pulled it out, too. Resisting the urge to stomp like an angry teenager (even though, thought one part of her, she was) she clutched the book and ran up to the dormitory, where she flew onto the bed, pulled the yellow curtains, and let forth a flood of angry tears.

After a few seconds of sobbing into her pillow, Gwen dried her eyes and stuck a hand out of the curtain, feeling around on the bedside table until her fingers closed on her diary. Grabbing a quill and violently inking it, she began to write.
Aiden had stomped ahead of Gwen and was already shoving books into his bag while brushing his teeth when she entered the common room.
By the time he'd finished wrathfully cleaning up the glass of water he spilt in his angry haste, she was in her dorm. Aiden snatched up his sack and threw it on his shoulder. He walked briskly out.

Hufflepuff Common Room
Linda timidly tip-toed down the stairs to the coomon room. She looked around. Gwen and Aiden mad at each other? That was a first. She watched as Aiden left the common room fuming.
She suddenly without thinking walked over to the chair which had held the herbology book that she had been looking at. It wasn't there. Linda looked up to see Gwen tucking it into her bag. Oops. She thought. Did Imake Gwen mad at Aiden. She slunk back up to the girls' dormitories to get her books, and go to class.
Late to class
Linda walked into the common room, her bag swung over her shoulder, and wearing her very wrinkled robes. She walked quickly, because she had just realized that class had started about.......let's just say a long time ago. She opened the portrait hole, and climed out. She saw no one else anywhere.
My first class was History of Magic, but it looks like I just missed it, so I'll head on over to Care of Magical Creatures, and see if I'm in time to catch at least half of the class. She started off, cautiosly peering around every corner before continuing her walk.
