Re: Astronomy, 2nd day
OOC: Aaron has good instincts.
After everyone finished reading, or reviewing, or chatting (quietly, of course), or whatever they happened to be doing, Professor Estrella walked to the front of the class again.
"Okay, we have 15 more minutes of class. Does anybody have any questions, or do we have free time?"

Re: Astronomy, 2nd day
Aiden bumped his fist on the desk, quietly chanting "Free time, free time, free time!" with a grin.

Re: Astronomy, 2nd day
Aaron raised his hand and said, "I've never done Astronamy before, so this will probably sound really dumb, but why are some people calling that instalation Ursa Major, and some people are calling it The Big Dipper?"
That looked like it might make one small point in his favor, although he still didn't know why he was doing this in the first place. But he was, so putting the lesson on top when he could write to Mark -- and ask him if he knew what in the world he was thinking -- was a good way to start.
Rose is absolutely the coolest character ever! Don't argue!
Rsoe rolled her eyes at the younger boy. Why ask the teacher a question when they had the option of free time? She had a good book in her bag she wanted to get out, but not while class was going.
Nobody can top Aaron! Don't argue!
Just after saying it, Aaron wondered if it was a good choice. He already knew the answer, and acting like he was stupid wasn't going to do anything. Hopefully everyone would forget it by tomorrow.
Carmondy
Carmondy sighed, she was feeling most irrated at the thought of having to write an extra essay. Why could the professor have given her simply detention? That what everyone else did!
Deciding it was best to stay positive, she whispered to Rose, "Lets meet after class and start discussing this love potion of ours...."
Mr. C. Quat
"Mr. C. Quat, under the tree by the lake after class?' she whispered.

Re: hem, hem!
"If you would look at your text book, page six, I believe it explains it better than I could. Now, if that's all, I'll go ahead and hand out the points and then we can have free time like I know you all have been waiting for. Um..." she looked at her paper. "I believe I am giving five points to Alvin for his well-thought-out answer to my question, and a point each for everyone who did extra credit. You may have free time now."
Rose is the coolest! Because I made her! Beat that!
Rose sighed. Free time. She turned and motioned to Morgan, Tonks, Aralyn, and Carmondy of course, to come over.
How many times do I have to tell you this, AARON IS COOLER!
Aaron sighed and grabbed his extra credit report. He had tryed playing quidditch, butit wasn't any fun without more people. So, he had deciced to get all the extra credit he could, but for this class it wouldn't actualy raise his grade, but it was a good way to impress any teacher. At least, he hoped it was. But he had a feeling that for some -- like the defence against the dark arts teacher -- he could memorize every book for the class and do a three page report for every paragraph and he would still glare.
Rose is the coolest! Because I made her! NOTHING beats that!
Josh glanced around, looking for sombody to talk to. Nobody seemed to want to talk to the little second year. He sighed. He took out a parchment and quill and began a sketch. He drew his owl, Chordate.
Rose waited impatiently for her friends to come over.
Well Alvin is cooler than everyone. hehe. So THERE.
"Yeah the tree sounds good," Carmondy replied quietly, then smiled in a way that said, "wait-till-you-hear-what-I-did".
Alvin smiled, pleased with himself for earning his house five points, and stood silently in the corner, feeling out of place among the little circles of chatting friends at the same time. Awkwardly shoving his hands in his robe pockets, he looked around until he spotted a boy around his age with an expression he imagined looked much like his own at that moment. He'd seen him around school...what was his name? Jake? Something like that. Taking a deep breathe, and gathering whatever social skills he possessed, he walked over to him and flashed a friendly smile,
"Hey...." he greeted meekly.
whoops
OCC: Alvin took in a deep BREATH--not breathe. Sorry bout' that. lol

My characters are here, even if they did nothing special...
Ginger and Skilmer looked around at everyone chatting, and decided that there was nothing better to do then catch up on homework in other classes together.
"For Professor Binns' essay, would you say that the goblin Drordwack went to Leesworth and met up with Frovel, or would you just say that they met?" asked Skilmer absentmindedly.
"I wouldn't say either. That they met wasn't as important as that they were both leaders as well as trained assasins who ended up both killing eachother in the night."
"I should have known that. But I guess I'm not as smart as you, eh, you in the House of Ravenclaw?" Skilmer teased without looking up, pen scribbling.
"I wouldn't say that she's smart; but you're definately not as smart as her." Curious, Skilmer looked up to see Ginger staring with hatred at--he should have guessed--Loral.
"That's why I'm working with her, can't you see?" Skilmer replied idly, not really in the mood to take great notice of his cousin and her acid remarks. Loral apparently had other things to do as well: she glided off to simultaneously memorize the starchart and polish her enamel bracelet.
"Un otro dia, Havelly, otro dia." Ginger stared at Loral's back with loathing before turning back to her work. Skilmer was surprised that Loral so infuriated Ginger that the mere sight of her could set her losing her control enough to talk Spanish without realizing it. But he put it to the back of his mind so as to work on his essay some more.
Rose is absolutly the COOLEST IN THE WORLD! DON'T ARGUE!
Josh looked up at the boy, startled. He had never really had any friends here, but here this.... nerdy boy was talking to him. He didn't care if the whole school thought he was a misfit if he could make some friends. "Hi, I'm Joshua Pieper. Josh for short."
