OOC: Is it better for me to play my different characters in all the same post, or do them seperately?
IC:
Before Kenneth had a chance to stand up, Jessica (who had walked Kenneth in and was sitting next to him) scooted her desk closer to his and asked (or rather, demanded) that they be partners. Kenneth tried not to be disapointed. He had secretly hoped to get over to Lily's desk and ask her to be his partner. He now watched with inward frustration as James Potter confidently made his way to the pretty redhead instead.

Re: Picking partners
Gwen swallowed hard. Ordinarily she'd be partners with Aiden; as it was, she wasn't sure she wanted near him with a ten-foot pole. She decided to sit tight and hope that a solution would present itself.

"As James seems determined to get together with the bewitching Evans," Sirius drawled, "Would you consent to working with me, Moony?"
"Um," Remus replied, busy looking up the appropriate chapter. "I s'pose so, so long as you can manage to keep the potion in the cauldron this time."
Sirius pretended offence. "A long memory is a curse, Moony," he said sternly. "But I'll be careful."
Ali and Mari
Ali and Mari looked at eachother and said simotaneously "Do you wanna be my--" The stopped and laughed, and then both said, "ok" and smiled.
Re: Picking partners
Aaron looked around for a partner. There didn't seem to be anyone his age - or anyone who looked as if they wouldn't mind being partners with a "shrimpy little first year".
Re: Ali and Mari
Aiden recoiled away from Chelsea's unwanted caress. He glanced at Gwen, but she seemed to be studiously avoiding looking at him. Aiden scowled, more at himself and Chelsea than anyone, "I guess."
~~~
James ruffled his hair and plopped down next to Lily. "Got a partner?" he asked, trying to look his most sensible - which was difficult, since he had MUCH more experience with rogueish, charming, and flirtatious. But then Lily had always been a challenge...
~~~
"Looks like just about everyone has partners," Herring remarked from the front of the room. "Lily, you and James are together, right? Okay then. Um...Christopher, right? You can be with Gwendolyn." She murmured to herself, "now who else needs one..."

Re: Picking partners
"Yes, I'll be your parnter, Bran," Morgan said with a long-suffering sigh as she plopped into a chair at her brother's table. "Look at that, you don't even have to ask."
Bran scowled (more deeply). "Just follow along," he said shortly.
"I love you too."

Gwen shrunk from Christopher's gaze, hoping that they'd be able to work together with a maximum of efficiency - and a minimum of conversation. She didn't know him at all except by sight, and once more she wished that she and Aiden were on speaking terms. But she certainly wasn't going to approach him...

Lily sighed as Potter sat beside her. "No, I don't," she said resignedly. She hadn't expected - or wanted - to spend an entire period grouped with Potter. She liked learning things in her classes.
Narcissa and Carmondy
Narcissa sighed and replied to Trent, "No, I don't have a partner. Guess your mine. Congratulations."
~
Carmondy looked around the room for a potential partner. Gwen didn't seem to be very social today, she was afraid she'd get her head bitten off if she asked her....ah, Chris!
She cheerfully stood up and walked over to him,
"Partners?" she asked boldly, making sure to flash a dazzling smile with a slight flutter off her long lashes.
Re: Ali and Mari
Aaron walked around looking for a partner. He saw someone, a Gryffindor 4 year with strawberry blond hair and a million dollar smile; Carmondy, he remembered. It looked like there wasn't anybody else who wasn't already partnered so he walked up to her. "Hi, I'm Aaron Callahan, 1st year Ravenclaw, it doesn't look like there is anybody else. Partners?"

OOC: *hands on hips* So is Aiden a girl or something?
IC:
Marti walked straightforwardly over to the last member of Potter's clique, Peter Pettigrew. Most would have hated to be in her position, but Marti didn't really care. And besides, he needed the help - Pettigrew always needed all the help he could get.
"I can get you a hundred for today if you listen to exactly what I say and DO exactly what I say." Marti could be cuttingly to the point when she wanted to.

IC-
"Yeah. You're in, uhhh, which house?" Chris wasn't very good at starting conversations, especially when he hardly knows the person he's talking too.
OOC- You know, if I weren't nice I could say that Chris hates Gwen too!
