Batzri
Unimpressed and unamused, Batzri gave Carmondy a hard look.
"Thank you for bringing that to my attention," he said impassively. "There will be five points deducted from Slytherin as well, Mr. Haden, for your disruptive behavior and slander of another student.
"But, Miss Cunningham, I am afraid I shall have to deduct another two points from Gryffindor for speaking out-of-turn and impertinence. Open your textbook immediately."
Trent
Trent smiled while sitting in his seat. He had gotten 5 points deducted to Carmondy's 17. He actually didn't even care that he had lost points. He was just happy that this professor finally sopped Carmondy's stupid "I'm so late, for this stupid reason" stunt.

Pogrebins
"Please turn to the chapter on Pogrebins," Batzri ordered the class. Overriding some scattered protests, he added - "If you have not finished the reading for Red Caps, it is entirely your concern. I have given you ample time to read the chapter. If you have not finished it by now, you will be required to read it and write a one-page essay on Red Caps for next class." He ignored the groans, waited for about one half second, and then plunged into the rest of his lecture.
"Another variety of Dark Creature is the Pogrebin," Batzri intoned. "Pogrebins are native to Russia, but can easily survive in any environment with low temperatures and plenty of snow. Similar in appearance to a large rock with a small hairy body, Pogrebins can easily hide by crouching down amid other stones.
"The Pogrebin preys on human beings, and will follow them around, infusing its prey with a sense of hopelessness until the human collapses and the Pogrebin is allowed to devour its prey." He paused for a fraction of a second before adding candidly, "Pogrebins, being discreet, hard to trace, and effective, are some of the Dark Lord's very prized - if rather more lowly - servants."
Carmondy
Carmondy rested her chin in her palm and tapped her fingers irritably against the side of her cheek, What a horribly waste of such a great excuse....she thought bitterly to herself, and quickly scribbled a note to Rose:
I don't know about you--but I'm really starting not to like this Trent person.

END OF CLASS
"Please pack up your textbooks," Batzri said curtly. "For homework, read the chapter on Pogrebins. For those who did NOT finish the section on Red Caps, do that as well; also, I will expect from everyone six inches of parchment on Red Caps and six on Pogrebins. Class dismissed. Miss Cunningham, Mr. (Trent's last name which I again forgot), please see me."
Carmondy and Trent made their way to the professor's desk as the rest of the class quickly left, avoiding each other's eyes. Batzri glared at the pair of them.
"Both of you will report to my office at six o'clock the day after tomorrow," Batzri ordered them. "You will take your dinner with me in my office. You may expect to spend three hours here. Miss Cunningham, you will come the following day as well."

Rose
Rose srumpled Carmondys note in her fist as she left the classroom. She did not want to lose even more points for Gryffindor for being caoght passing notes. Thankfully, Batzri wasn't looking in her direction and she sighed gratefully.
